Race Bandit 2021 Secret Weapon

Bandits rival will do anything to stop Bandit from a win, but little does he know....

I came up with this #freestyle drill today. #swimdrills seriously, try this kick drill.

This works to create the proper timing for freestyle. Your kick and hands all have to work together, like clockwork. You've probably used 2-4-6 beat kicks but have you tried a 1/3 beat kick. Kick on foot every third stroke. You'll have to speed up your arm turnover during the non-kick strokes to keep good body position. You can really feel where your hands should be during the down phase of your single leg kick.

Swimming Mile Explained


A swimmer's mile in yards: 1650 = 66 lengths or 33 laps.
Actual mile in yards: 1760 or 70 lengths or 35 laps + 10 yards
Short course meters racing mile: 1500 = 60 lengths or 30 laps
Long course meters racing mile: 1500 = 30 lengths or 15 laps 
Actual meters mile: 1609.4 = short course is 64 lengths + 9 meters and long course 32 lengths + 9 meters.

This dives really deep. Metaphorically: looks like figure eight racing on a two way street but really a full circle on two one-way streets!!! WOW!

My thoughts: Everyone is so different. We are all fun characters in an ongoing EPIC called life. Do what makes you comfortable, shirt or not. Don't allow groups or people to dictate what makes you you. Especially, when both ways are a social norm and totally appropriate! And, unwanted touching is never ok! Good to stop it. But, remember, as we all get older our lifestyles becomes a personal choice, but only with another consenting partner.

7 Ways to Improve Your Flip Turns

Adult beginners often find flip turns difficult to learn. Here is a flip turn drill to get you up to speed on flips!!
Kick streamline with fins on. When u reach maximum speed, do a full front flip (summersault) get right back to streamline kick for another 2-3 seconds, swim the rest of the length easy freestyle.
